Keep up the good work, John. The latest issue of The Fence Painter caught the anniversary as well. Glad you had the opportunity to spring it on your students.

Say hello to Patty for me.

Henry

Subject: 150th Anniversary of the Publication of "Jim Smiley and His Jumping Frog"!

Hello Everybody,

I could not let another second of this anniversary day go by without noting its importance in the world of Mark Twain.

My 11th and 12th graders in my Writings of Mark Twain course have been given a copy of the jumping frog story and when they were told why they received it on this day . . . they all cheered!

Three cheers and a grateful thank you to Mr. Mark Twain, he has a new generation of fans forever!
