My grandfather was from England and he said that they used the
'n' word as a description for the color 'black'
It was not always a 'derogatory' word.

as for white people, have you ever seen the old Lone ranger
programs?  particulary were Tonto says to the ranger:

"What do you mean 'we' white man?"
