Re: Peter Klein's mention of A.S. Johnson. Johnson was Knight's original
thesis supervisor; he handed the job over to A.A. Young when Johnson took
leave to become an editor for the New Republic. It was Johnson who suggested
the topic of the theory of profit to Knight. Knight's dissertation title did
not include the word "uncertainty" -- A Theory of Business Profit.
