Roy's comments are absolutely unintelligible to me. Hence I suspect a large  
measure of paradigm incommensurability is at work. 
 
To me it is evident that 1) revolution is an appropriate term for the  
methodical changes in question and 2) Samuelson is a formalist and a  
Walrasian.
