While Fisher wrote his proposals and tried to convince Roosevelt, a 
dozen of (small) towns in the U.S. set up local stamp scrip schemes, 
like Hawarden (Iowa) or Knoxville (Tennessee). This is another 
forgotten story, with rather few works on it (except from Loren Gatch).
Does anyone know papers related to both Fisher's proposals and local 
experiments ?
