Hello, I'm a PhD student in Applied Economics at Oregon State
University exploring the role of constraints affecting people's
purchase decisions.

Does anyone know who was the first author(s) to construct the
"consumer problem" as maximizing utility subject to an income
constraint? References to journal articles reviewing this subject
would be most appreciative.

If you have any ideas or information please email me at: [log in to unmask]

Sincerely,
Ryan Siegel
