For those greatly concerned with the sin of plagiarism I offer words of
comfort and advice. First the comfort: the damage done to our profession and
the world by plagiarism is a pinprick next to the damage done by the
domination of thinktanks and academies by their patrons of the rentier
class. Second the advice: bend your scholarship toward exposing how said
rentier class and its acolytes warp our discipline. As a side-benefit, you
need seldom worry about your work then being plagiarized. It'll be hard
enough to get it published the first time.
