Dear list-members,

As some of you may recall, a couple of years ago there was a debate
about the presence of History and Philosophy of Economics journals in
the ERIH ranking. This is a journal ranking promoted by the European
Science Foundation that in a number of EU countries is becoming a
benchmark for the assessment of academic research.

This is just to inform you that the new ERIH list has just been
published and the Journal of Economic Methodology now features in two
lists (philosophy and philosophy of science), ranking INT2 (formerly it
was a B), a category reserved for journals of international standing. If
I am not wrong, no history of economics journal is ranked in the
History and Philosophy of science list. You can try to find them here:

https://www2.esf.org/asp/ERIH/Foreword/search.asp

Most History of science journals expressed their disagreement with the
ERIH ranking. However, I am personally grateful to the JEM editors and
the INEM board for the work they did to get the JEM listed.

all the best
David
