Closing Night at the Mark Twain Cultural Center was a sad-happy event. The
Ghost of Mark Twain gave a wonderful, touching closing night converstion
to a full house. He was in top form. The center will continue as a music
venue, and McAvoy has agreed to allow the Ghost of Mark Twain to appear
from
time to time during the summer. Meanwhile, he has accepted some fine gigs.

Mac can now have back his wife, Lady Rebecca, who had been giving 110
percent of her time to trying to make the center work.

So it was just the closing of a venue, not the end of anything.
