I am certain that they had John KEENES in mind.  The worst offender in this  
respect is the name of Thomas Robert Malthus.  Almost all textbooks outside  
HET refer to "Thomas Malthus".  BTW, you should have offered to the petty  
hospital bureaucrat Eliot's Book of Cats.  Their three names would have  
humbled the digital Procrustes.
