This is an exhaustive and well-informed review by non-economist Alan Wolfe of two books: Happiness: A Revolution in Economics by Bruno Frey and Dan Ariely's Predictably Irrational. At the end Wolfe concludes that these are failed attempts at changing economics, which is in great need of change. His ideas on how social sciences develop are notable.

I wonder if others on the list have written about these books elsewhere?
