Call for Nominations
The 2009 Nominating Committee for the History of Economics Society
calls for nominations for the positions of President-Elect, Vice
President, Secretary, and Treasurer. For descriptions of the

The Nominating Committee will make recommendations to the Executive
Committee for consideration at their winter meeting at the ASSA
meetings in Atlanta in January 2010. The Executive Committee will
select a ballot to be distributed in spring 2010. Those elected will
begin serving their terms at the annual meeting at Syracuse
University in June 2010.
The HES Nominating Committee is composed of the Past President who
has just left the Executive Committee (who serves as Chair) and two
other members appointed
by the President. The members of the Committee for 2009-10 are
Bradley Bateman (chair), Mauro Boianovsky, and Pedro Teixeira.
The deadline for nominations is 31 October 2009. Nominations should
include a short statement in support of the candidate and should be
