Hello All out there in the Archives Community,

It is that time of year again when the Association of Canadian Archivists puts a call out to its members to renew their membership and welcomes all who wish to become members of the ACA and reap the benefits.

Renew or become a new member of the ACA by December 31, 2011 and be entered in our Early Bird prize draw! Our book prizes this year are:

Laura Millar’s award winning, “Archives: Principles and Practices,” thanks to the Canadian distributor Ontario Library Association Store.

Mark Cronlund Anderson & Carmen L. Robertson, “Seeing Red: A History of Natives in Canadian Newspapers,” an interesting read from the University of Manitoba Press.

Carole Gerson, “Canadian Women in Print: 1750-1918,” from Wilfrid Laurier Press hunkered down in Waterloo.

Membership officially expires December 31st, while as a member you have access to the member portion of the website until January 31, 2012.  Renewing is easy and can be completed online at the Members-Only website.  Not yet a member or a returning member, you may complete a renewal form which is available on the general access portion of the ACA website.

If you renew online, remember to check out all the features of our Members-Only collaboration site!  You can personalize your profile, sign up and join the discussion for any Special Interest Section, and see what else is going on in the ACA.

The communication tools available to members at the ACA website have made it even easier to have direct input with members of the ACA executive and to keep abreast of topics relevant to you.
