Hi Henry!

Your invitation for sumbissions read DEADLINE SOON--and I read it; but was
on other deadlines which would subside by February 10. Then I exhaled for
several days and it was too late.

Nevertheless, I am sending my proposal anyway.

"Mark Twain and the N Word" in the 21st Century"

Examining the changes in public attitudes toward Mark Twain and his use of
the derogatory term in his books, I reflect on the changes I have witnessed
performing Huck Finn and other Mark Twain books which contain the term,
illustrated by anecdotes from my tours of forty states, Canada, and Wales.

If I'm too late, that's okay. There's always next year!

Persevere,

Richard
