Does anyone know who drew the tailpiece illustration to chapter 8 in _The
Gilded Age_? It's on p 92 in the first edition, and it's about pork-barrel
politics.

Does anyone know the name of an illustrator who signed with the initials
L.W.M a portrait of Mark Twain standing on a laughing globe? This
illustration appeared on 22 December 1900 in the New York _Commercial
Advertiser_ and in _New York Home Life_.
