A bit more. 'My life and ours', Thorntons, Oxford c1999 was his 
autobiography. As I have now realised he was a Fellow of Nuffield 
College in the 1940s. They have a couple of letters relating to his 
wartime employment as a statistician. He is as Fred suggested in the 
older Who's Whos (including online).
