Some food for thought for those considering proposing HES sessions
for the 2011 ASSA:

2011 is the tricentenary of the birth of David Hume in 1711,

the bicentenary of the definitive 1811 edition of David Ricardo's The
High Price of Bullion
(OK, so the first edition was 1810, but the corrected fourth edition
with an added appendix was in 1811),

the centenary of:

Joseph Schumpeter's Theory of Economic Development
Irving Fisher's Purchasing Power of Money
              the birth of Maurice Allais
              the birth of Trygve Haavelmo
              the birth of George Stigler
Edith Abbott's term as AEA vice-president and Katharine
Coman's publication of the lead article in the first issue
                  of AER

and the 75th anniversary of J. M. Keynes's General Theory of Employment,
Interest and Money.
