Twainiacs - If you happen to be in Nevada or Lake Tahoe next week, below is an event to take in. (It may not -probably will not- read well on the Forum send, so try the website, which includes all the pics).
Also, you should seriously consider a train ride up to Virginia City, not mentioned in the C-City promo blurb.
At Tahoe,  you can go to where the State of Nevada has designated as a historic landmark the homestead site Twain (then
 still Clemens) had filed on the lakeshore, where he dreamed of becoming a lumber baron, and where SC ignored the Smokey Bear advice and started the well-known gigantic forest fire (described in Roughing It).
And take a drive down to Mono Lake while you're there. Great country.

            State's Largest Parade. Saturday, Oct. 29, 10am. Featuring a jet flyover start, floats, marching bands, equestrian groups and more. 

             Competitions. The Beard Contest, Classic Run/Walk, Pinewood Derby, Single Jack Drilling Championship and Silver State Rumble boxing.
