been paraphrased is in Paul Fatout, Mark Twain Speaking.
[University of Iowa Press, Iowa City, 1976,] page 94
"Introductory Remarks [Spelling Match, Asylum Hill
Congregational Church, Hartford, May 12, 1875]".
According to Fatout, the church made $600.
