There is now a Facebook page, "Save the University of Missouri Press."
People are sharing some very well-written letters.

One point I find very compelling: the new president of the university is
trying to save money. The press gets $400,000 a year. The football coach
gets $2.7 million...

Hello List Members=E2=80=94

A quick FYI. Since it published so much on Twain, I thought I=E2=80=99d =
pass along this article about the closing of the University of Missouri =
Press. I find the closing of the press particularly disappointing =
because it produced an extensive catalogue of books on the history, art, =
literature, and life focusing on the state of Missouri.=20
