Please post this call for papers on the Mark Twain Forum. The American Humor Studies Association and the Mark Twain Circle of America have many overlapping members, so it is possible that some of the subscribers to the MT forum will be interested in this call. Please include the notes with the call for papers.

Call For Papers
Humor in Social Media

This panel welcomes papers about any aspect of social media (including Facebook, Twitter, YouTube et. al.). Paper proposals addressing the SAMLA 87 theme (In Concert: Literature and the Other Arts) are especially welcome. By May 15, 2015, please submit a 300 word abstract, brief bio, and A/V requirements to Joe Alvarez at [log in to unmask]

Notes:
1. Deadline for proposals extended until May 30, 2015.
2. Panelists must be members of SAMLA to participate (See SAMLA.org).
3. SAMLA 87 dates and Location: November 13-15, 2015, Sheraton Imperial Hotel and Conference Center, Durham, NC.
4. Please make sure you are committed to attend and present your proposal if selected.
