Dear colleagues,
An Ottoman-Turkish popular story from 1870 has a reference to the
well-known "economic problem" (the issue of unlimited wants and scarce
resources).
I was wondering what its source might be. Is this an idea of A. Smith
(in any form) or a later formulation?
Many thanks in advance for any kind of tips and/or information.
Best,
