===================== HES POSTING ===================

The HES editorial team seeks a historian of economics to participate in
the daily tasks of moderating the HES list. This person will also assume
responsibility for one of the other electronic services offered by the
History of Economics Society -- the "Ask the Professor" service, the HES
calendar (not yet announced), etc. Webmastering skills are not necessary,
but would be an additional asset.

Dedication to promoting scholarly conversation, consistent internet
access, and relatively small but steady time commitments are required. The
new moderator, after a period of training, will join Ross Emmett and Bert
Barreto as a regular moderator of HES.

Your application should indicate your interest in the position and include
a brief description of your internet access and a recent c.v. Our review
of the applications received will begin about the 15th of September.
Applications (and questions regarding the position) should be forwarded by
email or fax to:

The current HES editorial team is led by Ross Emmett, and includes Bert
Barreto, Paul Wendt (subscriptions editor) and Neil Niman (who manages
several web sites for us). Information regarding the HES email list can
be found at http://www.eh.net/~HisEcSoc/Society/HES_email_list.shtml
