Dear Colin Wilder,
I was wondering if an article of mine, dealing with the issue that you
are interested in, may be of some help, although it is probably not "a
general scholarly consensus appraisal" of the argument. In the
references you will also find some of the relevant literature

Lilia Costabile, 'Money, cycles and capital formation: von Mises the
‘Austrian’ vs. Robertson the ‘Dynamist’,
Cambridge Journal of Economics, vol. 29, n.5, pp.685- 707

Kind regards

Lilia Costabile
