Anyone considering an export-led theory of economic
development should not ignore Charles Tibout's
"Exports and Regional Economic Growth" in the
JOURNAL OF POLITICAL ECONOMY, 1956, VOL. 64, PP. 160-168.

After all, development in any national economy is
now "regional economic growth" in the global
economy.
