Yes I agree those short pieces would be very good for those new to
Marx and want to get nice overview quickly.  One, i forget which one 
off-hand, is
a speech that he gave to a labor party meeting so he put his ideas 
from Capital before it was published into language "workers" could 
understand.
And yes it has all his economic aggregation ideas in there.

Plus its very inexpensive and a quick read and of course an 
interesting read because it is Marx :-).
