Dear Fidel,

there are two PhD theses that were written at the chair for history of economic thought at the University of Hamburg which might be of value to you.

The first book is by Ulf Beckmann and directly deals with the Kiel Institute in the period you are interested in:
Beckmann, Ulf (2000): Von Löwe bis Leontief: Pioniere der Konjunkturforschung am Kieler Institut für Weltwirtschaft, Metropolis Verlag, Marburg

The second is Hauke Janssen's analysis of German economic thought in the interwar period and especially the Nazi time which contains many references to Kiel:
Janssen, Hauke (2009): Nationalökonomie und Nationalsozialismus: Die deutsche Wirtschaftslehre in den dreißiger Jahren des 20. Jahrhundert, 3rd edition, Metropolis Verlag, Marburg

Both are available on amazon, both are in German. I hope this helps!

Best regards,
Stefan Kolev

Betreff: [SHOE] Institute for the World Economy

Dear Colleagues,

I bet there're lots of references on the Institut für Weltwirschaft an der Universität Kiel (Institute for the World Economy at the University of Kiel) in the interwar period. Could anyone point me in the right direction on studies and surveys on their work and theoretical orientation, please?
Thanks a lot in advance
