Anyone interested in Mono Lake should check out this page on the LA
Times:
http://www.latimes.com/news/printedition/california/la-me-mono24-2008jul24,0,2037539.story

It has an encouraging story about the recovery of the lake in recent
years and a video program with excellent views of the lake. In fact the
video plays well on full screen on my computer.

I have a special interest in the lake, not merely because of what Mark
Twain wrote about it but also because I've visited it several times. It
really is a special place.
