The American Film Institute's 5-day international documentary film festival is opening June 18 at the Newseum with the beautiful new film about our beloved Hal Holbrook, brilliantly directed by Scott Teems. If you were in Elmira last August, you got to see an early edit.

And for all of you lucky folks seeing Hal in Jefferson City tomorrow night (I'm talking to you, Martin Zehr and Henry Sweets), here's hoping he does his new material from Huckleberry Finn. It is powerful and relevant and breathtaking.
Cheers!
