Hello all,

I am finishing up work on my book on Mark Twain--"The American Humorist:
The Making and Meanings of Mark Twain." I am trying to round up a few last
images. Kevin MacDonnell helped me out, but a few of the images were not
in his collection or were to fragile to be scanned.

If anyone has book-quality images they would be able to share (300+dpi, 4x6
or 5x8 size), I would be eternally grateful and, of course, give lavish
credit in the book. Here are the images I am looking for:

"The New Heathen Chinee" Frank Leslie's Illustrated, July 26, 1873

“THE LYCEUM COMMITTEEMAN’S DREAM—SOME POPULAR LECTURERS IN CHARACTER”
Harper’s Weekly, November 15, 1873.

Mark Twain amongst the Britishers, New York Graphic, November 5, 1873

American Humorists, with Portraits”
Daily Graphic, October 9, 187359:6 (December 1874), 45.
(This was also reprinted in a phrenology journal and as a book cover--I
have the book cover).

“Mark Twain” from Appleton’s Journal-- George T. Ferris, “Mark Twain,”
Appleton’s Journal, XII:276 (July 4, 1874), 15.

Mark Twain at the Tomb of Adam, Harper's May 1875, p. 848

Mark Twain engraving in the Century, September 1882 (frontispiece)

I'd greatly appreciate any help. Let me know if you have questions.

Best,

Tracy Wuster
