A special note of thanks to Alan Gribben and all those involved in putting
together another outstanding issue of the MTJ.

Gary Scharnhorst has written an outstanding tribute to Tom Quirk. In a
separate article Scharnhorst also presents his own theory that Mark Twain's
"Josh" letters were never published in the _Territorial Enterprise_ but
were in the _Esmeralda Star_, a paper with limited circulation and thus the
reason that finding "Josh" reprints has been a fruitless task. However,
Scharnhorst has found one "Josh" letter published elsewhere that provides
an intriguing puzzle piece.

Kevin Mac Donnell's latest research findings on Iowa Burns and her
relationship to Clemens is another solid piece of previously unknown
biography.

Michael Cafferky's analysis of "Million Pound Bank-Note" also deserves a
note of mention.

A job well done by all involved.
