This discussion is interesting, but infuriating.  Progressives,
socialists, etc. see an important role for the government.  Fascists
also gave more power to the government.  Ergo, these other groups have
much in common with fascists.

As proof, some progressives supported eugenics, as if progressives
were alone in that abhorrent ideology, which resonated with Hitler's
eugenics.

Of course, Hitler was also impressed with the way the U.S. treated
Native Americans.  Therefore, [make your own conclusion]

As Steven Marglin noted, Fascists suppressed labor.  So do
conservatives.  If I were to call Governor Walker fascist, I would
expose myself as pretty ignorant.

Finally, Austrian economists took some ideas from Marx.  Marx is a
fascist, ergo ...  Isn't time to invoke Goodwin's Law?
