This in Mary Karr's new book, ART OF MEMOIR:

"The most interesting information comes from children, for they tell all
they know and then stop."

Mark Twain <http://www.brainyquote.com/quotes/authors/m/mark_twain.html>
Problem is, it doesn't ring true to me; it don't sound like the big guy.
Further, if you google it, there is no original source but it is repeated
over and over at various sites.

any thoughts?? Did Karr get it wrong? If so I am delighted, since she
spends most of the first part of the book chastising writers for not
telling the truth and not doing sufficient research, etc. ....
