In his last book, ZWISCHEN ZWEI WELTKRIEGE (1936), the Austro-Marxist
Otto Bauer cites one Tarnow (presumably a contemporary German or
Austrian socialist), who describes reformist socialism as ' a doctor
at the sick-bed of capitalism'. This seems remarkably apt in
mid-2009. Does anyone know the source of the quotation? Or anything
about Tarnow?
