Dear Colleagues,

I’m working on my dissertation in economic sociology. The topic of the
work is how ideas and interests influenced the development of the European
banking system. Actually I try to line out how the idea of mercantilism
has influenced private banking. Of course much may be found about John Law
and the Banque Générale and about the foundation of the Bank of England.
Beside that literature I found very view contributions on how mercantilism
influenced private banking in France, England and Prussia.

It would be very helpful to get hints about further literature!!!
Thanks!!
Florian
