Tracy--
The Newberry has _Harper's Weekly_, _Daily Graphic_, _Appleton's Journal_, _Century Magazine_ for the dates you cite. I know this may not be easy for you to get to. If you'd like me to take a look at the volumes and order scans or printed copies for you, let me know.

Subject: Help with illustrations for book
Hello all,
I am finishing up work on my book on Mark Twain--"The American Humorist:
The Making and Meanings of Mark Twain." I am trying to round up a few last
images. Kevin MacDonnell helped me out, but a few of the images were not
in his collection or were to fragile to be scanned.
If anyone has book-quality images they would be able to share (300+dpi, 4x6
or 5x8 size), I would be eternally grateful and, of course, give lavish
credit in the book. Here are the images I am looking for:
"The New Heathen Chinee" Frank Leslie's Illustrated, July 26, 1873

I'd greatly appreciate any help. Let me know if you have questions.
