Fred Lee was our distinguished guest at the 2006 HETSA conference held in ballarat, Australia.

He later stayed at my house in Carlton where he took a great interest in my cat! Jackson

It is with great sadness that I inform the history of economics community that Fred Lee passed away last night. Given his deterioration over the last week, this was something of a welcome relief. The tentative date for his memorial service is November 8, but an announcement as to the details will be forthcoming.
