I was at the Edison Labs two years ago and filed a formal research request
about these recordings. The answer that I received after 2 months was that
the Edison Labs had no info regarding any recordings made by Mark Twain.
They
couldn't even document whether any were ever even made but went so far as
declaring that they were quite certain that they had no info that any were
