It's really difficult to write anything new about Huckleberry Finn but in his 'Children, Futurity and Value: Adventures of Huckleberry Finn' manages to do just that. This is of course just my opinion, but I've not read anything about the novel this good - about the future of childhood and the future of America, via the novel and Huck Finn derivatives - for a long time. It's in the journal Textual Practice (25 June 2015) and can be found online. My sense is that it will enrage some, inspire others - just like Twain's own novel!!! It inspired me! Pete M.
