True's career after Hartford indicates he remained productive for at least
another decade.  Not only did he illustrate for Joaquin Miller, Bret Harte,
and Dan DeQuille while with Bliss, he also illustrated for other Twain
acquaintances after leaving Hartford.  His later work indicates he may very
well have overcome demon rum.
