Jules, I would be interested in presenting a paper regarding the importance of Twain's observations of the Chinese immigrants in the West, which is based on his time in Nevada & California. Or, I could do something regarding his Hawaii experience in 1866. Let me know if either of these might fit for your conference.
Thanks,
Martin Zehr

If you are interested, could you send an idea of a presentation to me by Ap=
ril 30?
http://rmmla.wsu.edu/conferences/
I have also been contacted by a publisher to put the papers presented for t=
=3D he Twain panel in a book to be published next year.
I hope you consider this and send me some interesting presentations :)
I have 2 papers now and need 2 more!
I had several people interested in this at the Hannibal conference who were=
mid west area people and I thought it would be nice to start getting a ses=
sion out in that area for them, and have not heard from them!
Thank you!
Jules
Ps if someone could e-mail me the site for the CFP that I think is based in=
PA, I would love it :) thanks!
Also! I have not seen a CFP for the SAMLA conference in Nov.
Could someone please post it? And is there a chair for it?
I asked this past chair to put my name on the form for it last year and ask=
ed him to e-mail me about it and heard nothing, I also e-mailed the sec for=
that panel and never heard anything from that person either!
I e-mailed SAMLA and they said the paper said TBA!
I would hate to see the Twain panel for SAMLA get taken off the program or =
turn into trash papers! :(
Thank you!
Jules
