I've attached the printed letter Cable sent out to about 150 people, 
asking them to send Twain letters on April 1st. Hope it goes through OK.

The recipient, Violet Beach, was a friend of both Twain and Cable. Her 
father was editor of the NY Sun and was on the Quaker City excursion. 
His other daughter Emma played chess with Twain. Violet was born in 
1867, and according to one biographer she was fathered by Henry Ward 
Beecher, who had an affair with Moses Beach's wife, Chloe.
