The Canadian Archives Foundation is pleased to report that the second
edition of "An Ounce of Prevention: Integrated Disaster Planning for
Archives, Libraries and Records Centres" will be made available to
members of provincial, territorial, and national archival organizations
in Canada at the reduced rate of $25 in Canadian funds, plus shipping.
Order forms will be ready in August, and will be distributed through a
variety of channels to reach Canadian archivists.

This offer to Canadian archivists is being made through the generous
support of the Canadian Council of Archives. The publication is being
distributed by the City of Toronto Archives on behalf of the Canadian
Archives Foundation. Recent events and other staff commitments at the
Toronto Archives have delayed distribution, but arrangements are being
made to put "Ounce 2" in the hands of Canadian archivists in the very
near future.

The work by Johanna Wellheiser and Jude Scott, with the assistance of
John Barton, will provide information management professionals with a
wide range of contemporary advice concerning disaster prevention and
response, as well as a comprehensive list of resources and references.
It will provide assistance not only to individuals planning new
facilities and programs, but also the those charged with the ongoing
maintenance of our unique documentary heritage.
