Special Olympics PEI (SOPEI) is launching a Healthy Communities Project as
part of an international outreach of Special Olympics International to
establish similar projects worldwide. Funding is provided by the Golisano
Foundation (April 2018 – March 2021).  Over the next three years, the
project will strive to create communities on Prince Edward Island where
Special Olympics athletes and others with intellectual disabilities have
the same access to health and wellness resources – and can attain the same
level of good health – as all community members. The end goal of the
project is system change to increase inclusion and health outcomes for all
in PEI communities.

SOPEI has published a call for applications for a Community Engagement
Coordinator to lead the project. The job description can be viewed at:
