Dear members of the SHOE list,

I am looking for biographical information about William Hamilton Whyte
(1885-1973), Professor of Economics at the University of Bristol.

Apart from his work on the Port of Bristol ("Decasualisation of Dock
Labour at the Port of Bristol by W. Hamilton Whyte", Economica, 1932)
and several local reports and national commissions (and some letters
with Lord Beveridge and Lionel Robbins), I could not find any
information about his life and career.

Are you aware of some HET sources I could use?

Thank you very much,
Best regards,
