The Forum for History of Human Science (an interest group affiliated with
the History of Science Society) is pleased to announce a prize competition
for best recent published article on some aspect of the history of the
human sciences. Starting this year, the prize will be awarded every other
year, in rotation with the Forum's dissertation prize. The article prize
will be nonmonetary. The winner will be announced at the annual History of
Science Society meeting and in relevant newsletters. Entries are
encouraged by authors from any discipline, as long as the work is related
to the history of human science, broadly construed. To be eligible, the
article must have been published within the past three years (i.e.,
1994-1996, inclusive). Authors may submit more than one entry for the
prize. Send three copies of each entry to the Forum's Corresponding
Secretary, David A. Valone, Quinnipiac College, Box 77, 275 Mt. Carmel
Ave., Hamden, CT 06518. Entries must be received by June 15, 1997.
