CALL FOR PAPERS

The West Coast History of Science Society will meet at Morro Bay, 
California, at the Inn at Morro Bay, on May 2-3, 1998.  Keynote speaker 
will be Carolyn Merchant of the University of California at Berkeley. 
 
The general theme of the meeting will be the environment.  Abstracts of no 
more than 100 words are solicited on topics related to this theme, in any 
period and in any part of the globe.  Presentations at the meeting will be 
20 minutes in length.  Graduate students are especially encouraged to 
submit proposals.
