Dear Colleagues in the HES,
The history and philosophy of economics research group at Faculty of
Economics and Econometrics, University of Amsterdam, has a PhD
studentship position to fill. This is a four year scholarship (1 year
renewable up to 4 years) for PhD research on a specified topic. The
topic is chosen to fit into our current research work on history and
methodology of measurement problems. The main area for research is the
history of concept change and measurement strategies for the term
"unemployment". We would welcome applicants with a background in
economics and an interest in history and/or philosophy of economics. The
start date is September 1st 1998.
