I’m trying to find the passage in the Autobiography where Twain tells about praying for gingerbread as a child. I’m pretty sure it’s in the second volume, and at one point I think I knew the date of the dictation, but I’ve forgotten it now and can’t seem to track it down again. Can somebody point me in the right direction?
