Well, there's Horace, as in Roman satire.
 
But the brevity of it,...hmmm.  "As short as can be."
 
Like what the WWII General said to the German surrender
demands during The Battle of the Bulge?  "Nuts!"  That short?
 
Ooops. That's like asking for another clue. But 
it's between one and eleven words. Now I'm
